What is Temporary Protected Status?

Temporary Protected Status (“TPS”) is a designation granted by the United States government to eligible individuals from certain countries facing difficult or dangerous conditions. TPS provides temporary relief from deportation and allows individuals to legally reside and work in the United States during the TPS period.
